A Little about me...

I am from the Pacific Northwest, but I have spent the last ten years calling the Southwestern area my home. I am not married (yet), but I do have an amazing boyfriend who is one of my biggest supporters, in addition to many others.

I am a mom to three chaotic dogs, who constantly have me questioning my sanity. I hold a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and am currently pursuing a master's degree in Crime Analysis. When I am not working, traumatizing my readers (or making them throw their devices), or putting my characters through hell for the sake of the plot, I can be found reading, binge-watching my favorite shows/movies, or chatting with friends.

Writing has always been a passion of mine. I was always writing little stories as a kid. When I was in 8th grade, my English teacher created journals with short story prompts for all her students, and every day we would choose a prompt and write about it. Well, she loved my creativity so much that she actually encouraged me to keep writing, to foster that budding talent. I found Wattpad that very year. I spent the last 12 or so years there, writing whatever came to mind. I had numerous story ideas.

Somewhere within those ideas sprouted the base idea for A Killer's Obsession. The original story on Wattpad, however, was not a dark romance. It was just a slasher novel. Well, sometime last year I discovered dark romance and fell down the rabbit hole. I turned my unused Instagram account into a bookstagram and then met many indie authors, read numerous ARCs from debuting authors, and felt inspired. If they could publish, so could I, and I knew exactly which story to move forward with. I wasn't finished with the Wattpad version, but that didn't matter. I decided to rework it completely. I was already feeling that the story was missing something to make it enticing, but the question was what. Reading about men who would kill for their love interests, who would do anything to protect them, no matter the costs, gave me the idea to make it a Slasher Romance, and I am so glad I did. I mean, who wouldn't want a love where they will fight for your next breath? I know I would.
